No cask, two hand pumps not operational. Keg offering of Guinness, John Smiths, Stella, Coors, Fosters, Neck Oil, Laine Sonar, Inch's cider, dark fruits SB, Amstel, Cruz, Madri and Moretti.
Long'ish rectangular venue from glass frontage on busy main road out the front. Bar counter is against right hand wall and area is bare boarded with stools at the bar and some tall tables down the left-hand side with a partition dividing what would once have been the lounge area. The back of the bar area is tiled and there is a darts area in the rear right corner. There is a stairway down to the "secret garden" just beyond the bar counter but i wasn't curious enough to check it out on my short visit. The lounge area is carpeted apart from a boarded part in the front window that housed a red baize pool table. There were some red leather padded benches down the left-hand wall serving basic tables with chairs the other side thereof. Similar tables and chairs occupied the opposite side, the dividing partition down the middle of the pub beyond the entrance area. TV's all switched off and a music soundtrack provided the ambiance in a quiet venue on my visit.

This shop converted Irish pub used to be called ‘Spoons’ and my one and only visit was very disappointing due to strange staff and oddball clientele. When the name changed I decided to pop my head back in the door and I have been in a few times since as it is much improved with friendly staff and a good mix of local characters. Like any self respecting Irish pub there are plenty of screens dotted about with the inclusion of a projector screen and any football or horse racing that is on is always shown. There were a few signs up advertising traditional Irish music sessions from 9pm on Saturdays and although I’ve never been I have driven past and seen the pub very busy.
Youngs’ Gold and Pride were the two ale options alongside a standard draught selection and I’ve found the Guinness to be well served on all visits.
It is quite big in here and although it is a single room it does have some nice tucked away seating due to a large brick pillar and staircase splitting the pub. This staircase leads down to a pool room and a 'patio garden' which is in fact a small house garden with three picnic tables and a bench, but it is pleasant enough for a couple of beers.
