Old Blue left this review about The Ship Inn
Excellently located two floored pub built into the rock and overlooking the creek and harbour, The lower floor provides the main bar area and can (other than at high tide) be entered via the patio from the waterside, and the upper floor is the dedicated restaurant area which can be entered from the road on the other side. Unsurprisingly the decor is traditional with lots of nautically themed photos, maps, and nicnacs, which I thought quite tastefully done. It is strongly food led, but there were bar proppers and other drinkers during our visit and it’s still the sort of place you can happily drop into for a drink if you’re not eating. Six ale pumps were offering Tribute, Noss Beer Works Mew Stone (both twice) Dartmoor Jail Ale and Otter Amber, and I had perfectly good pints of the Mew Stone and the Amber. Main dishes on the menu were from £10 upwards - ours were really good and generously portioned, and service was excellent. I’d very happily come here again to eat or just for a drink.
