Originally the Harrington and dating from 1857, until January this was a branch of Coco Momo, whatever that was, situated in one of central London’s least appealing areas: South Kensington, a far cry from the vastly more glamorous Kensington, W8.
The interior is contemporary and rather predictable: modern boarded floor with terrazzo bar apron; olden style bar back but with metal dividers; maroon or bare brick walls; similarly the ceiling; lots of fluted glass shades; traditional furniture with studded black banquettes with décor in the form of eclectic framed prints. The rear area is laid for dining, with an open kitchen adding to the noise and heat on an already stiflingly hot day; the stench of cooking was overpowering, food consumed by scruffy looking tourists and all to a trippy prog rock soundtrack.
Cask took the form of Gipsy Hill’s Bandit and TTL, fine, served by clueless bar staff, price forgotten.
I’m not sure if this is the least or worst best option from the pubs along this stretch, but I’m happy to stay away from the area in general, but if in SW7, the Anglesey or Queens Arms are that places to aim for.

In its glory days this was the Harrington and a fine pub but since then has been through an entire selection of corporate rebrandings, a Rat and Parrot, then a Black Widow, the called the Prince Regent for a while and now this. It's a fair stab at a continental brasserie, no-one's idea of a pub of course, but perfectly good at what it does. It's fine for the tourists, the large expat community round here as well as the sloaney locals with their juggernaut baby buggies. If you fancy killing a half an hour with a glass of pricey lager in civilised surroundings then you could do a lot worse.

Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about Coco Momo

Modern cafe bar, formerly the Prince Regent pub. Eggshell blue exterior, bright interior due to large windows and light decor. Mostly little round tables in the 'L'-shaped bar, with a bit more seating out the front on the pavement. Table service. Soft jazz music. No real ale, so had a Meantime London Lager (£4.05). Overall, not my kind of place but quite well done I suppose.
