The L-shaped Kings Head has a wood floor throughout and a central L-shaped serving counter. The rear bar has stools along the length of the counter and seating. The main front bar has well-worn banquette seating under the front windows, some high tables and two dartboards. During a recent Tuesday evening visit there were a couple of other customers chatting and listening to the modern background music. Live entertainment is advertised for weekends when I expect it’s a bit busier. Standard keg was available alongside Birra Moretti and Cruzcampo and two of the four hand pumps were in operation drawing TT Landlord and Tetleys. The service was polite, but I’ll probably walk past next time I’m in town.
