Atlas Bar and Café is a thin bar with a round front seating area with views of the goings on outside through floor to ceiling windows. Beyond this seating area there is a step up to a long thin bar that supports premium keg products. Posters proudly boast of the availability of over 500 gins. At the rear is a some outside seating. A TV in the front seating area was showing muted rolling news. I found the staff to be very friendly, but this isn’t a place I will be rushing back to.

A few years ago this was a stylish bar with a great atmosphere. Last night at about 9:15 it was a sad depressing dump with about 6 customers other than ourselves. The two barmaids were totally indifferent as was the pint of Becks that I had. How do you ruin a pint of Becks? It must be difficult, but they managed it. As for the other halfs red wine, Sarsons vinegar would be an apt description. For this "pleasure" we were charged £7.20, at the top end of Manchester prices for a bottom end establishment. If you want a great pint in decent surroundings with a buzzy atmosphere go across the road to Knott. This place has fallen on hards times and at this rate will soon be closed.

Top bar with a decent choice of tap and bottled lager....Hoegaarden on draft. Stylishly decor-ed with a nice wee terrace out the back.
