Alan Winfield left this review about The Victoria
The Victoria is a large looking Victorian built pub that is situated on the corner of a very busy road junction.
Once inside the bar room is oblong shaped with the bar to the front, the seating is bench type and small stools, there was a pool table in the middle of the room, the front right area was raised, the TV to the front was showing vintage music videos, which i like watching, the lounge to the rear looked a lot smarter and is carpeted, the seating in this room is comfy bench type and chairs.
There were no real ales on the bar,i had a drink of Tetley Smooth, which was a pretty poor drink, the other keg bitter was John Smiths smooth crap.
There were a few older locals in on my Friday dinner visit.
The pub was nice and warm on a cold day which is nice, just a shame there was not one real ale on.
