What a lovely heritage pub, and all the better for being a proper drinking pub - only the rather loud music keeping it from attaining a 9 or even a 10 in my estimation. The exterior is perhaps not as promising as it might be, but only to be expected in this shopping centre location, but the drinking corridor on entering is first rate, and the rooms on the left, both before and after the bar counter, are superb. (See the review from PSM below for more detail, though the carpet in the smoke room has been replaced by modern laminate). A further room on the left looks like it would have been originally part of the living quarters but is also well preserved.
I've been here a few times without getting around to posting a review here - on my latest visit I went for the seasonal Old Tom, which was excellent (NBSS 4). What a shame about that dreadful pop music. Nevertheless, this is my go to pub on a visit to Stockport.

Strongers . left this review about Swan with Two Necks
The Swan with Two Necks has an L-shaped bar that serves a corridor that runs through the pub along the right wall and a separate small front seating area. There are five keg fonts and five handpumps, two of which were unused. Robinson’s Dizzy Blonde and Unicorn were available alongside White Label Citra Pale. At the rear of the bar is a ‘Smoking Room’ and there is another room beyond, both well-kept with banquettes, tables and wood panelled walls. Out the back is a paved beer garden with separate seating areas, and the gents which is in an out building. This pub is well worth a look for the interior.

Brainy Pool left this review about Swan with Two Necks
still a very nice traditional pub and beautifully unchanged inside, wood panelling galore. It was ticking along on a Saturday evening with a mixed clientele but I suspect it’s busier earlier on. Two Robbies ales on this time. Definitely worth a visit, there are not too many pubs like this anymore.
