Strongers . left this review about The Union Inn
The Union Inn is a rectangular open plan pub that was absolutely rammed for a recent Man City Champions League match, in fact every table and bit of standing room was being used except for a small table in the left rear corner which was the only place in the pub that one of the multiple televisions couldn’t be seen. Yes I sat here because it gave me an excellent view of the pub to make notes, the sad git that I am. In the left-hand side of the pub is standard seating and high tables run up the centre and along the bar area to the right where the serving counter runs across the rear wall. There’s a dartboard with an oche along the right-hand wall where a life size cut-out of Stephen Bunting stands, although I thought Stockport was meant to be Nathan Aspinall country? Standard and premium keg were available alongside Robinson’s Ale from the pair of hand pumps. The service was polite and there was a good atmosphere, this is certainly the place to go for football in the area.
