With very tired legs after walking around Beamish, we were looking forward to a relaxing drink. Unfortunately we hadn't banked on the jobsworth barman who refused to allow my son in.
I stopped for a swift half of Farmer's Blonde. Pedigree was the other ale. I can't really understand why well-behaved children cannot be allowed into a pub, with coronavirus used as an excuse, especially when many children behave better than some adults!
What could have been recommended as a friendly backstreet local was not so friendly after all.
