Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about The Victory
Attractive Greene King pub retaining two split-level bars and several small seating areas and a little dining room beyond. Pleasantly traditional interior, although the lower bar by the main corner entrance is lighter than one might expect. Three handpumps on each counter, with IPA and Skinner's Cornish Knocker (£3.80) on both plus Abbot and (mildly annoyingly, since I didn't spot it in time) Woodforde's Norfolk Nog additionally available on one of the banks.

When you first enter the pub it seems quite small, but it is set over two levels. The next area is another drinking area that leads through to the restaurant area, toilets and neat little enclosed courtyard garden. Nicely decorated with well kept beer. The staff are friendly and there is an amusing chalkboard outside. I cannot remember the prices. I would be happy if this was my local.

just browsing and found karens notes very precise. walked in last sunday for a fantastic roast (6.95) food is busy and we were made to wait but worth it with the GK IPA so spot on. When given a table found no faults in my roast beef at all and the 2 young ladies who served us were always smiling and helpful. how nice to be in a friendly pub with no tv, good (but not loud) music with great local banter. will be back
