Old village local which appears to have had a fairly major refurbishment. Interior now has a light, bright feel but I suspect has lost a lot of character. Entrance into one large room, with lots of space and white paintwork (why on earth paint old ceiling beams white?) and a few areas of stonework round the walls. Through to the right, it opens into a side room with pool table. Regular beers appear to be Doombar and Speckled Hen, with a guest from Big Hand at time of visit. Beer in good condition, although a bit generous with the head. Generally adequate but needs to re-establish some character.
