This is a large reopened "estate pub" on the outskirts of Wrexham. On this Saturday lunch, the public bar was open but the lounge closed. I did not know whether to be perturbed or comforted by the large police presence on the car park!
The bar had a rough threatening feeling with one drunken local demanding to know the contents of my shoulder bag! (for regular readers, a place for Fearless Al, rather than "Chicken Al" - I'll take a carrier bag if in the area again. The police were for a murder in the house next door!)
No Real Ale or Guinness, so a 1/2 of JS smooth was quickly forced down.
