Village pub with 2 or 3 rooms. The main bar has an inglenook fireplace on the right with some sofas around it. A few elderly locals were discussing their health problems there. Around the stone bar with its copper top was a slightly younger group including a dog, which was quite friendly with me but not so friendly with other visitors! A tiled floor gives it a nice, traditional feel.

Up some steps to the left was another room, whilst a door to the side of the bar possibly led to a games room.

There are 4 handpulls and I was expecting a much better real ale range than what I found. The solitary ale was a house beer, Sylvia's Tipple, named after the pub's resident ghost. I chose it, not knowing who brewed it. The barmaid didn't know but further enquiries revealed it to be the standard Greene King ale sold to pubs for their house beers. Lilley's Cherries & Berries was available on another handpull, with 2 unclipped. I also spotted a box of Weston's cider at the back of the bar, as I was leaving. Craft beers were Tiny Rebel Cali Pale & Thornbridge Day Maker. Aspall's & Rekorderlig were the keg ciders. Hot drinks such as a Baileys Hot Chocolate were being promoted, along with an Oktoberfest on October 25th.

Despite the lack of cask ales, I quite liked the nature of this pub and was also impressed that they are stocking a cider or two. Opening hours appear a bit limited during the week, which is why I had left this pub until last on the day. It's worth seeking out.

Being the only pub in the village of Henllan, this 13th century thatched inn has an obvious magnetism. The old beamed bar is warmed by the inglenook fireplace in the "bottom bar" with three steps leading to the "top bar". Excellent meals are served in these bar areas or in the separate restaurant.
This pub was recently sold by auction from Robinsons brewery and bought by a local man.
The local Heavy Industry beers are now on sale and improvements are planned.
The Llindir has long been the home of Henllan FC who play in the "Llandyrnog and District Village Football Summer League".
