The Clywd is open plan with banquettes around the side walls, but it is mostly standing room for gazing at the televisions throughout. The counter up the right-hand wall supports standard and premium keg alongside two hand pumps, but one was unused and the Sharp’s Atlantic was off. In the front right is a carpeted room with 1950s brown painted walls, seating, a dartboard and a television that was airing racing TV. The service was friendly, but I saw nothing that would draw me back in.

Very quiet Tuesday afternoon. Just a few lager drinkers taking a keen interest in the horse racing. At £2.10,the Sharpe's Atlantic was more expensive than the nearby 'spoons. That's £3.59 I have just shelled out on two pints!
This large pub reminds me of one of the more scruffy Holts pubs in Eccles.
The man and women on the next table have just started a farting contest. Time to move on. (I think the woman won!).
