First visited The St Kew in during family holidays to Cornwall in the 1970s and I always return when in these parts. Nothing has changed other than it'spopularity, due of course to its location. St Austell Ales (Tribute, Tinners, Proper Job)are served on handpump with HSD out of the wood on gravity from behind the bar. The beer appears to have improved since my previous visit in the summer - my couple of pints of Proper Job were, erm, proper job. Sadly the glasses were not the cleanest I have seen and I had to ask for a top up on one of my pints which was met with a look that could turn the beer sour. Large influence on food with a formal restaurant, though bar snacks are available inside or in the large sunny garden opposiye which also hosts barbeques during summer weekends. The stone flagstone floored bar closes for the afternoon at 3pm during a sunny weekend in half term. Best to visit out of season I expect.
