This is the public bar of a huge and imposing hotel which dominates the Pitlochry skyline and is probably the highest building in town. Food is served in the bar and most of the customers were eating despite the menu being on the expensive side. Drink was also pricey, with Guinness selling at £4 a pint. Belhaven Best, Aspall Suffolk cider and Tennent's, Peroni and Heart & Soul lagers (which I'd never previously heard of) were also on draught. One hand pump advertised Inveralmond Brewery's Ossian Ale, but it was off. Although there is another residents' bar in the main section of the building, MacNab's also has the atmosphere of a hotel bar rather than a pub.
