Strongers . left this review about The White Hart
I was the only customer in the White Hart late on a recent midweek afternoon so there was no atmosphere, and with this basically being a hotel with a bar I expect that this is often the case. The entrance opens onto a carpeted area with seating to the left and the hotel reception straight ahead. The wooden floored bar area is found to the right where a serving counter surrounded by seating sits in the middle on the right-hand wall. Standard and premium keg were available alongside three hand pumps that were drawing Proper Job and Tribute. The barman was polite, but I don’t share his love of Sam Smith’s greatest hits which he was streaming from his phone onto the pub’s sound system. I imagine it’s much livelier in here when there’s something going on in the large function room at the rear, but I think I’ll give it a miss next time I’m in the area.

Gill Smith left this review about White Hart Hotel
First "pub" of the crawl, and it was strange walking into such a big room that looked a little bare really. There was a cosier looking lounge area to the left of the entrance door, but the main room had the bar on the right, and a counter area that was the hotel reception on the left. Would seem strange if packed with drinkers having the reception there I would think. It was a St Austell pub, and there were 3 handpulls serving Tribute and Proper Job. Gents and disabled loos on ground floor but ladies upstairs in what seemed to be the corridors of the hotel. We tried both the beers which were fine. Poster advertised a karaoke night.
