Comprising a steakhouse and bar, this is a sizeable, modern establishment, located literally underneath the Erskine Bridge which spans the River Clyde at this point. With a huge picture of the Bridge taking pride of place above the bar and views of it from the beer garden, I’m surprised the pub isn’t renamed in honour of the structure. The bar contains a pool table, games machines, a cash machine and a designated dining area (in addition to the steakhouse which is in a separate part of the building). On the Friday evening I called in, a karaoke session was in full swing and there are also quiz nights, games nights and singers on other nights of the week. There is a reasonable range of draught beers, including Tennents Special, Belhaven Best, Guinness and Stella Artois and Carling lagers, in addition to Strongbow and Blackthorn ciders.
