Quirky bijou corner bar with a nice atmosphere and roaring fire. No sign of the snug mentioned below though there was a small stage for performances; the pair of trumpets mounted opposite sides of a tidy mirrored mantelpiece made me assume that live music is a regular here. A Scottish Sue Perkins served-up a lovely winter warmer from Five Kingdoms called Yippee Ki Yay (NBSS 3.5) with a tidy 60s soul soundtrack for company. Enjoyable stop and the local CAMRA branch Pub of the Year for 2023. 7.5

worth a visit was very busy due to an old Gentleman's 100th birthday happy birthday Andy hope i get as pissed as you was if i get too 100. Very hot day had 2 very good pints of Tennent's lager it was a pity it was getting to hot for hand pull and most were on larger so thaught the real ale would be warm
