The Horseshoe is the much more traditional and interesting of the 2 Clackmannan pubs. It has a much more mature clientele. It has the feel of a small private country pub. The bar takes of a good frontage of the main entrance to the pub so when entering one is almost at the bar. There is a large brewery mirror promoting George Younger's now-vanished brewery in nearby Alloa, There is a bicycle shaped clock over the bar exit which one customer who had been drinking in here for years happened to just spot the clock and this brought roars of laughter from the other local customers. This is a very friendly pub. There is parking available in the local streets.
