Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about The Lochlands Bar
This side-street tavern doesn't stand out as you approach, but it turns out to be a decent, old-fashioned (in a good way) two-room establishment. The main corner bar has a very traditional dark-wood interior, with mostly sports-related decoration. Thankfully, it is also one of the few real ale outlets in town, with Wainwright and Inveralmond Ossian (£3.40) on the two handpumps when I visited.

This is a 2010 Good Beer Guide pub, and is a friendly local. Enjoyed the Hydes beer that was the guest. There are plasma screens for sports, but a quiet room is there for those who want it.

The two guest beers are usually well looked after, the price is on the top side of acceptable but this keeps the place select. The alternative is to visit wetherspoons but the fellow drinkers are a little more robust in character
