Off the beaten track backstreet pub and GBG entry. Very impressive inside, refurbished to a high spec with pub carpet, good quality fabric on the half hexagonal banquettes and a nice neutral colour scheme with a little bit of wood trim. Upper shelves festooned with plates, bottles etc giving it a granny’s front room feel. Five ale pumps with a selection of local and further afield, plus Bass as the 'known' beer (no sign of the Borough beer mentioned by WhatPub). My pint of the Red Triangle was crystal clear, if maybe a little over-vented (NBSS 3). There’s also some ciders. This is the place to head to in town for a session, though be aware of the limited opening hours. 7.5

Borough arms now has a new Microbrewery situated in an outbuiding in the pubs wonderful beer garden, currently four ales brewed at the Borough Brewery Neath, they are Triple Bleeder 4.3%, Iron Runner 3.9%, Welsh Gold (Stout) 3.8% and Full Blast 4.7% why not pop in and ask for a peek in the brewery i,m sure we'll accomodate.
