Old fashioned stone pub near the small green in Dinas Powys. There is a small sunken seating area at the front of the pub. Inside the front entrance is the bar area, Tudor style interior, with well-worn carpet and a log burner in a stone fire grate on the left-hand wall. Regular tables and chairs including some church style benches under the front windows. A TV in the bar was showing the action from the opening day of the York Ebor meeting. The rear bar was stone floored and looks like it was still being refurbed with some fitted banquettes around the walls and regular tables and chairs. The bar counter had a side in this area and housed the second of the two hand pumps here. There were some wall boards covering presumably alcoves and which had an attractive bookshelf wallpaper.
