The Mitre was a smallish back street pub that looked well kept from the outside.
Once inside there was a smart room which had a pool table and comfortable bench seating,the pub was a Brains tied house when i visited it,there were two real ales on the bar,i had a drink of Brains bitter which went down well,the other beer was Brains Dark.
This was a comfortable locals pub that i was quite happy having a drink in.
The Mitre is still standing,but has now sadly been converted into private accommodation.
