Will Larter left this review about George & Dragon
A very smartly presented roadside pub on the southern edge of Mosborough with an emphasis on food but a couple of real ales also available. In fact there are three hand pumps, but Black Sheep Bitter was "conditioning" at the time of my visit, so I had the choice of Timothy Taylor Landlord or Moorhouses Blonde Witch. I'd had Landlord already at the Alma, so went for that again - what a shock to be charged £1.80 for a half! This is often a pricey beer, but that is well over the top for the area.
The mothers day menu was an eye-watering £16.99 for just two courses, £19.99 for three, so it looks like the policy is to recoup the cost of refurbishment within six months. There are pithy Yorkshire dialect phrases written on the walls as decoration, and I fancied adding something pithy of my own, but restrained myself just in time.
