The Nags Head is a cream painted pub with no outside signage on its wall now,but the stand alone pub sign still has its name.
Once inside there is a narrow oblong shaped bar room to the front right,this room has a tiled floor and bench seating and small stools for seating.there is also a darts board to the front right,there is a larger separate lounge to the left which is L shaped and carpeted,the seating is comfy bench type with chairs and small stools.
The pub is a Samuel Smiths tied house,there was one handpump on the bar but not in use,i had a drink of keg Samuel Smiths OBB which went down well.
I thought this was a comfortable pub to have a drink in,i also dont mind drinking keg Samuel Smiths beers.

A Sam Smiths pub with no surprises but it's very popular with the locals. A traditional two or perhaps 2 ½ bar set up with a large U shaped servery in the middle, there is also a small dark sitting room off the larger back room which I took to be the saloon or lounge bar; The leather bench seating and carpet, augmented with traditional round tables and stools suggested so. There are a number of dark wood and glass screens in the lounge dividing the place up into some cosier spaces, part of the back room is raised and divided and has some panelling, the rest is in tongue and groove with buff painted rough plaster above. Most people appeared to be on either “Prat in a hat” lager or Sovereign keg bitter but I ordered a OBB, the barman wasn't sure of the price confirming my thoughts that it wasn't their biggest seller even at £1.58 a pint, and increasing my fears of what might lurk in the glass. It wasn't off but it was thick and treacly and of course very cold, pretty much everything that you expect from Sam's in Yorkshire.
