White painted pub on the main Leeds to Wakefield road in the wonderfully named Robin Hood area, broadly an L shape inside with a U shaped counter. The short face of the counter has a keg horseshoe with a few familiar faces, round the corner on the rear face is another horseshoe and four beer pumps with a choice of Tetleys, 61 Deep or White Rat, my White Rat in very good condition in spite of it being the first pulled that morning. Comfortable banquette seating at wooden tables on a carpeted floor with slabs round the counter. Plain but traditional decor in a half timbered look with prints and copper dishes, there’s a fair amount of silverware mostly darts trophys and a couple of big screens and machines. A decent local pub.
