Nice friendly bar not too far from the sea front, split level, 70's style carpet & seating/fixtures but nice friendly place with seating with windows on the front.

We called in for an early evening beer after our drive to Staithes. The pub was very quiet, but it was January. There were three beers available: Theakstons Old Peculier and Lightfoot, plus Black Sheep Bitter. The Old Peculier was a little the worse for wear, unfortunately, which is perhaps not surprising given the time of year and the amount of custom. There was a real fire, but I found the background music intrusive.
