More of a comment really as it wasn't open when we passed. There were signs of life inside but we had to give it a miss. I'll be back!

Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about Freemasons Arms

Locals pub on the north side of town, featuring a partly opened-out 'U'-shaped layout with the main bar along the front and side of the counter, a pool table further back and another seating area around the corner. Also has a patio area by the car park entrance. As a Banks's house, just Amber (£2.80) from the four handpumps, although a reversed Wainwright clip was also noted.

This is a large two roomed Marston's pub with beer garden. You enter into the main bar and lounge area, rear lounge leads off this. The front bar was bright and comfortable, the manager was jolly and welcoming. There were three ales on the bar, I went for the Boondoggle.
