My reaction was very similar to the previous reviewer's. This pub is in the GBG but the vast majority of the beers are on the 17 taps on the bar back. I went for a West Coast IPA from Dark Revolution but it was nothing like any beer of that type I've ever had, being fizzy and tasting of lemons, just like a session IPA. Disappointing. Should have gone for the Stonehenge "green premium bitter" on hand pump. Oh well - there's always the next time.

I'm not quite sure what this pub is styling itself as, modernised inside and gaily painted, particularly the bright pink gents, I had to do a double take I'd walked in the right door. It's quite foody and being a Sunday afternoon all tables were taken with diners. There is a good collection over seventeen taps, of mainly craft beer from reputable brewers, it's also a GBG pub with three handpulls, Dark Star Hophead, Ramsbury Gold and Frome The Usual. So the pub is covering several bases and seems to be equally focusing on all, they just seem odd bedfellows.

Originally an inn called The Cokk from around 1482, The Coach and Horses took its present name in 1856. It's a former coaching inn which has retained many of its original architectural features, though some walls have been removed to create more bar space. The carpets now on the floor look a bit out of place as does the gaming machine. The furniture is an eclectic mix but mostly consists of tables for diners. Dogs are welcomed provided you ask first. Good food is available at a reasonable price, and there were 3 ales on. I had Deuchres IPA which was a little too cold but still very drinkable. A decent place to spend an evening or enjoy a cheap meal.
