A good looking building well described below ,but the sight of a Wadworth pub sign made the heart sink. For family dining it's probably fine, but I like interesting, flavoursome real ale and the offer here, although in good condition, fell well short.A short walk from the Kennet & Avon Canal.

An attractive, traditional pub on the main road through Sells Green.
The bar is in front of you as you walk in with a dining room to the right and pub area to the left where you can eat as well.
The interior matches the exterior and is comfortably dark wood panelled and floored with dark, mismatched furniture. It feels clean and well looked after.
We visited on a Monday lunchtime when the focus was on food and it was pretty busy so they're obviously doing something right here.
The menu is extensive ranging from full on meals though to smaller plates and sandwiches and baguettes. I went for a smaller plate which was a fair size and good value at around £7.
The beer is all Wadworth's - not my personal favourite - 6X, Bishops Tipple, Swordfish and Wadworth IPA. I tried the 6X and Swordfish both of which were very well kept.
I wouldn't detour for the beer but would happily drop in if passing and hungry.
