Gastropub, priding itself on using local ingredients. This went as far as the beer options - two cask detailed on a chalk board, along with distance travelled to the pub. Pub layout and feel but with everyone dining, I took advantage of the one of the two tables on the street to take advantage of people watching.
I did find the beer of the week - Ramsbury Gold, kept perfectly and in better condition than elsewhere - including the Castle and Ball, which was poor in comparison.
£6.10 for the pleasure, mind.

Formerly the Sun Inn. Nice old building that has had a few modernisms inserted inside but at least retains some character in the rooms within, with wood panelling, exposed brick and wood burning stoves. Not sure about the funny multicoloured high-back chairs though. Punter profile rather more upmarket than a number of the other outlets in town and a laid-back atmosphere prevailed. The ales; Doom Bar and 2 x Ramsbury (my Gold went down well enough) doled out by a friendly barmaid. Selection of daily papers. Overall, a decent stop for Marlborough.

The Sun is at the bottom end of the high street.
Inside it is probably the same as it as been for years with a few different rooms there were four handpumps on the bar i had Ringwood Forty Niner which was a decent drink the other beers were Brakspear gold, Wadworth 6X,and Spitfire not a bad pub and i would come here again.
