A two bar pub on the northern edge of the village, a definite public bar to the front with a larger lounge at the back. There are two pulls in each bar, with John Smiths cask in the public and Roosters and Copper Dragon in the lounge. This says a lot about Yorkshire and beer and may even hark back to the days of Mild in the public and Bitter in the lounge. My Yankee was cloudy but very drinkable. Decor-wise it's fairly plain with white walls enlivened with the odd photo of the locality, mainly furnished with bench seating, a bit of stone, some fake beams and the counter is surrounded by one of those brewers Tudor things probably dating from the 1930s. It's a nice village pub and looks quite well used.

The Albion is a decent sized stone built pub that is to the North of the middle of Clifford.
Once inside the pub has two separate rooms, there is an oblong shaped bar room to the front with the bar facing, the floor is bare boarded, this room was empty,so i decided to go into the lounge to the rear, this room is L shaped and carpeted, there is comfy bench seating and chairs for seating and there is a beamed ceiling.
There were three real ales on the bar,i had a drink of Copper Dragon Golden Pippin which went down well, the other real ales were York Guzzler and John Smiths Cask.
The lounge was very pleasant and also busy on my Saturday afternoon visit.
