This is quite a good looking but slightly rough pub a few steps along from the main road. The public bar to the left has juke box, pool and sport on TV; I didn't go in the other room. The hand pumps were rather nice porcelain ones, and the brass work was very smartly polished but they had no cask beers on. I went for a Theakstons Best Bitter on keg, which in my opinion is a better drink than their cask version. It was very cold and set me back £1.75 for a half.
