Former real ale pub on the main road from Bradford to Dewsbury, and not much more than a stone's throw from the Black Bull, so it's easy to see why trade has dropped to the point where they no longer even offer Sam Smith's Sovereign. I had a half of their Taddy lager - this is not a Sam's pub but they have a couple of their beers at lower prices than the nearby Old Hall - but I gave up with the glass still half full. It's just as bad as Madri and Cruz Campo, just not so expensive. The pub itself must have been quite something at one time, and there are still some nice features. Just nothing pleasant to drink.
