One of those tantalising pubs you research and find three or four opening hours listed in the usual sources, in this case it could 2, 3 or 4 pm. Being nearby I tried for 2 and 3 but nope, the lights were on but the door firmly shut. Camra says no cask so I wasn’t too disappointed, but then they said it opened at 2pm. Probably a safer weekend visit.
