The Monkey is an unusual looking pub that is situated on the busy great horton road.
Once inside the main bar room is to the right,this room is oblong shaped with the bar to the rear,the room is carpeted,the seating comfy bench type to the front which is well worn and small stools,there are a few normal tables and chairs on the right side,there is a TV to the left which was showing sky news,there was also a real fire on the go to the front right.
There is a separate room to the rear left which houses a pool table.
There were three real ales on the bar,i had a drink of Oakham JHB which was on top form,the other beer i noted was Baildon Junction.
This is a decent and comfortable pub to have a drink in,but they could do with replacing the covers on the bench seating.
