I like this pub, it's got quite a quirky layout and a great room to play pool, with plenty of space. The selection of drinks on tap are quite good. Nice atmosphere but could do with a lick of paint and a new carpet. I would come here again.

The Charles Dickens is a large pub split up into different drinking areas. To the right of the entrance is some seating and more can be found to the left along with a bar billiards table. Ahead some steps lead up to the bar which faces some seating in the left hand side of the pub. At the rear there is even more seating and a door leads to a beer garden that houses lots of picnic tables that complement the ones that are found outside the front of the pub. The toilets are located upstairs. I didn’t note the presence of any television screens, but there was some low background music.
The bar is stocked with premium draught products and the four hand pumps were drawing Sharp’s Doom Bar, Theakston’s Lightfoot, Springhead’s Maid Marion and Titanic’s Steerage.
It was very quiet in here on Saturday night, but the service was friendly and I would have no problem returning.

We loved it.
Its friendly, the ales are good with new ones on all the time and the food is spot on!
If its a local you are looking for or your visiting Worthing you will not be dissappointed.
If Whiskey is your thing they have an interesting list.
