My friend & I called into this pub while travelling from Portsmouth to Brighton. The weather was wet & windy. On entering the pub we we found it warm, cosy and welcoming. We decided to stay for a snack and chose the ploughmans. We were very peasantly surprised at the choice of cheese, and it was served with a smile, and at a very reasonable price. Had we not been driving I would have loved to try one of the beers available. A couple of people were served lunch while we were there, and I believe the cooked food to be of a high standard as was the service. I will call in again when next in the area and recommend this pub to all.
