A detached white painted brick Sizzling corner pub and eatery, with patio area.

The interior is open-plan and effectively is one room that sweeps all around the central serving bar and nearly encompasses it. There are however clear areas. Unlike some Sizzling places this one has a clear 'bar' area, which has a dart board and a TV, which had the ESPN footy match on - and is in cream and wood panel. The rest of the place is given over to dining (i didn't eat, so can't comment on that), though one area has both tables and a couple more TVs, this time with Sky Sports - showing another match. There is also a quieter area, though this had charty piped music, but a at a decent level. These areas have lots of old photographs on the walls and there are several fireplaces dotted around the place - often tiled. The place, with odd execeptions, looks quite neat for a Sizzling. The decor for the rest of the place is cream and dark patterned wallpaper and light patterned wallpaper. The service was friendly enough and the clientele was a mix of locals in the bar area and diners on the tables.

Beer; tap stuff with Banks's MILD and on handpull there was Marston's EPA at £1.99 and a rather warm and not great Banks's Bitter at £2.10

Sizzling pubs range from scruffy to fine and beer wise, from pure keg, to having a few decent real ales. The place is fine decor-wise, but the beer, a little less so - saying that, i would try this place again, but to eat, not just for a drink
