Nice little pub just off the main road with a couple of ales on. My HPA was in decent nick. Glad to have called in.

Unexpectedly appealing suburban side-street pub retaining two fair-sized bars set at right angles to each other. Both have semi-modern furniture and decor but the overall effect is still reasonably traditional. Food from a non-chain menu. Just Hobgoblin and Old Peculier (£3.60, and in good shape) available from a trio of handpumps on each counter.

A large detached 1930s looking brick build, with a patio at the front and separate entrances into the lounge and the bar.
The interior has two rooms, but i only saw the smaller bar room. The decor is white painted brick and plaster with an 80s twee fake beam look, with the same old gas fire i had years back and those beaten copper tables; twee, but not scruffy, the red seating was clean. There were a few trophies and footy memorabilia and there was Sky TV. Service was fine, though i saw no other clientele.
Beer; tap stuff, with no MILD, but Wadsworth 6X and an ok-ish Spekky Hen on as changing guest ales on handpull.
The pub is ok, the beer needs a little more, but worth a visit.
