Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about Patten Arms Hotel

Old-fashioned hotel directly opposite Bank Quay station, with a rather antiquated bar open to all. Limited amount of staid furniture, and decor restricted to a few traditional portraits, although perhaps refurbished a bit since my last visit some eight years ago. Still no real ale, so made do with the Tetley's Smoothflow (£1.40, half).

A totally bland and quite tatty hotel bar (though there was a bloke painting something). No real ale.

Having about 20 minutes to spare before my train,thought i would sample a pint,however i never got that far. After waiting around 4 mins for service called it a day and walked out,although in fairness i think i entered at a bad time as the barmaid come receptionist was booking 4 guests in for a stay.Must agree with the previous reviewer about the tidiness and the beer selection.
