Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about Hussey Arms

Substantial Hungry Horse pub / restaurant, partly opened-out inside but leaving a separate over-18s 'L'-shaped bar (with pool table) at the front and the family seating / dining areas at the side. Anonymous semi-modern furniture and decor throughout. Rear beer garden. Just Greene King IPA, Abbot and Old Speckled Hen from the six handpumps, but at least the former was in good condition and just £2.29.

Well used food pub. There were more people in just drinking than eating which is always good to see! 3 beers on including IPA and Spackled Hen. The Spackled Hen was a good pint. The pool table was well used. All in all a decent pub.

UPDATE: A new review for this place as it has been taken over by Greene King and turned into a Hungry Horse dining establishment. The plac, having just been refurbished, looks tidy in its cream render with toffee coloured wood beams. Originally late Victorian/Edwardian, it is in mock-Tudor style with front facing gables. There is a large beer garden with kiddy play area.

The interior is an irregular open plan room around a central serving bar area. Most of the pub is given over to the dining tables, but there is a section with a pool table, dart board and TVs (which had the footy on). The family element is represented by the grabbing machine. The decor is the usual for this kind of place, different coloured walls; green, red, brown, French mustard, white, cream and a few contrasting wallpapered walls, as well as wood panel. The ceiling is as mixed as the walls. There is a loud patterned carpet. There are plenty of mirrors and old photos of the area on the walls, as well as some vases and arty light fittings. The food i had was fine. The music is mixed and quite quiet. The service was fine and the clientele a mix between families eating and lads playing pool.

Beer; the usual tap stuff with Greene King Abbot Ale, IPA, Spekky Hen and thankfully a decent enough guest in the form of Thwaites Lancaster Bomber.

The place has improved immeasurably since my last review. It is now a standard family chain place and if you use it as such you can't go wrong - but it does have a clear bar area with pub games, for the adults that is!
*************************************************************************************************************

A large pub, a lot older than the recent refurb fake black beam and white look gives it (refurb after phots taken), after the demise of the Spaghetti Factory.

The interior of the pub was gutted in 2005, when the Factory was concieved. It is currently open plan and soulless; dining area, modern wood floor, plain walls (white and red), crass arty pictures here and there, the ubiquitous brown sofas. They still do food. The one saving grace for the interior of this pub are a couple of little fireplaces that give a little style to this place.

There was Sky TV, which was knocking out some kiddy kind of dance music, where everyone has as little on as possible. This suits the place, as all the people i saw were young, and despite the pub's attempt to be smart, they were all in tracksuits and Henley Tee-shirts, like the barman (who supplied the only positive thing about the place - an acknowledgment i was there and will be served asap).

Beer; usual tap tosh, with three handpulls, yet two were turned around, so i dont know it they are generally on, or not and i couldnt be bothered to ask. The commonplace Black Sheep was available. It was fine to be fair.

Shake the dust off you feet as you leave
