UPDATE: The Whiteheath Tavern has re-opened. The exterior is the same, but the interior has had a bit of a much needed tart-up. I only saw the main front room this time, which is now in purple and coffee, with a white ceiling and wood floor. The perimeter seating is patterned now. There is a dart board and a TV, showing daytime stuff. The serving bar has been reduced, fitting into just the corner now. The service was fine and it was quite busy with locals. A few England and UJ flags were on the walls. There are now two real ale handpulls, both pump clips were turned around. I had a shandy. A more modern decored version of what it was before.

(Jan 2011): A small detached white rendered cottage style pub, with nice Ansells signs up on the outside - which of course, they don't serve anymore.
The interior has a couple of rooms. The bar, at the front, is in blue and white, with a bits of West Brom memorabilia. There is a dart board here and a TV, which had some general TV programme on for some reason. When the juke box supplied the music, it was a bit loud, so i retreated to the other room after a sojourn to the bogs, which were a bit shabby. The lounge is in red and white, with a couple of prints, a big mirror and some photos of local fund-raising campaigns on the walls. The service was fine and the clientele consisted of friendly locals in the fishing club having a meeting
Beer; no real ale, all tap stuff with an OK Banks's MILD.
Although a friendly enough spit 'n' sawdust pub, the place is a little tired in its decor and with no real ale to attract, it is really one for the locals.
