The Old Priory is a down-to-earth boozer that had a decent sound track playing during a recent Wednesday early evening visit. There’s rounded banquette seating in the front window and the bar counter runs up the right in two sections with the pool table and dartboard area at the rear being separate. Standard keg and Birra Moretti were the draught options available from the friendly barman. The handful of locals present seemed the type that turn up at opening and leave after last orders. I think I’ll leave this place to them in the future.

Pretty rough and ready locals pub with a few customers slightly worse for wear! That said they were a friendly bunch and I had a good chat with one of them. No ales on so a quick bottle of Newcastle was the order of the day!

Not the greatest place and the few people in this early Saturday afternoon all looked liked they'd found a pound but lost a grand. A simple single room with a staircase in front of you as you enter. The bar is to your right and you will find 2 handpumps with John Smiths Cask and Rosie's Cider on today. Its not the best but its certainly better than its next door neighbour.
