Fairly typical Toby carvery. 3 handpumps - all Doom Bar! I took the plunge and received a pint of vinegar (I would guess they don't sell much!) The staff were very apologetic and I changed it for Coors with no fuss.

Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about Toby Carvery Sheldon
Usual formulaic food-led-pub-with-Travelodge-attached deal, so no surprises here. Mind you, the large interior within the overall 'L'-shaped layout of the former Wheatsheaf is sub-divided with various partitions and pillars so it actually feels slightly more comfortable than one might expect (despite the regulation semi-modern furniture and decor throughout). It also seemed to have a high proportion of those having a drink rather than eating when I stopped by mid-evening on a Tuesday. Real ale is available too, albeit the usual Pedigree (£3.05) and Brakspear Bitter from two of three handpumps.
