This pub was the most deserted pub during our Saturday afternoon crawl. Its not bad but is fairly mundane inside. The pool table is still here and so is the average beer selection. Still, the beer was nice enough and I see no reason to dissuade anyone from visiting.

Large and impossible to miss if you've ever driven through Warwick, the Punch Bowl is a traditional and imposing boozer with a very dull, older refurbished interior.
The welcome was friendly enough and there was plenty of banter with the pool players heading to the table for a competition.
Beers on: North Yorkshire Pale Ale, Shardlow Cavendish Dark, Abbeydale Daily Bread, Oakham Dragon in Bavaria and Pheonix Spotland Gold. An uninspiring collection of lower strength beers.
Perhaps worth a look in to see what's on but Warwick has better beer.

A prominant looking pub from the outside on a Y road junction,the interior is much more modest and decorated in a rather dull 90's style,essentially open plan but with different sections.To the far right is a pool table,while to the right of the bar there is a fireplace and some traditional seating.To the left side there is a raised seating area,but this will double up as a stage for Thursday night live music which starts at 9pm.We were in at 7.30pm but the middle aged rockers were tuning up even then and they wanted to do so with the dial on 11.
The 5 handpumps were delivering a mundane selection of real ale,no doubt drawn from a pubco. list with the best option on my trip seeming to be Noth Yorkshire Pale Ale (English IPA) which proved clear but spectacularly dull.
Despite a friendly welcome from the barman and customers,this pub lacked atmosphere and character.Not one of Warwicks finest but it does make the 2019 GBG.
