The Westoe (pronounced "westa") lies at the top of Westoe road about a mile north of the main town. This pub has obviously been refurbished over the last couple of years because as you enter the first half of the pub has been decorated like a tacky sports bar with hard floors and pool tables with big screen tv's and loud music playing. the far side of the bar seems to have been left alone and is more of a old drab style that you might think of when looking at the outside.
The beer selection was dire with no reaL ale leaving john Smiths, mcEwans and Guinness, I opted for the latter at a very expensive £3.55 for the area which was ok. this is really just another bad pub in a town scattered with less than average pubs and is not worth the bother really.
