I popped into Vintage Inns, Ye Olde Six Bells for a couple of beers a couple of weekends ago as I waited to be ushered into the adjacent church for my cousins wedding. The pub is very food orientated and the car park is so big that the manager allows wedding guests to park at the far end. The interior has a country pub feel with low wooden beams and an inglenook by the entrance. The bar supports three hand pumps that were drawing Boondoggle and Doom Bar with the third being unused. The food looked good and ranged from £7 to £15. Some very low chilled mood music was playing during my stay and I didn’t spot any TVs.
This is a sprawling comfortable country style pub that is a nice setting for a family meal or a bite of lunch, but I would go rushing in for a lively night out.

Horley's oldest pub, reputedly dating back to before the Norman Conquest, The Olde Six Bells sits in a picturesque location next to the old parish church and away from the modern town centre. It has a mixture of flag and wooden floors, exposed beams, and a large open fire. The exterior is well kept, and the garden is pleasant. Staff were very welcoming and the food was excellent, although it was a little overpriced. Clientele was civilised, which made the experience an enjoyable one. Three taps on the bar - only two were on, though the beer for the third was, I was told, already in the cellar and the pump clip was attached. I settled for a pint of Harveys which was well kept and hit the spot. I think this is the best pub in Horley and well worth a visit for a crawl, a quiet pint or a meal on the way to teh airport if time allows.
