A Greene King country pub. There’s a front of house grassed garden with a pretty well but sadly it has been filled in at some point. A compact L shaped interior with tile bar front, Farrow & Ball's interpretation of what I’d call pea green and off grey, with bits of wood on the walls. Whilst there was nothing intrinsically wrong with the place it was just so boring despite being ‘nice’. The boredom theme continued at the bar - four pumps with just two workaday GK ales in London Glory and Old Golden Hen, the latter of which was in pretty good shape which again stops me from actually finding intrinsic fault. Giving this place a lower-end of the scale score feels like kicking a puppy, but I really can’t summon up any motivation to specifically recommend it.
